Saying Yes to God's Proposal.

I've been to plenty of weddings in my life so it is not often that a wedding sticks out in my mind as a beauty. A couple of weeks back I was privileged to be at John and Janine's romantic garden wedding which was beautiful. But this one definitely stood out as one of the best. Bianca was stunning, Steve a true Casanova, Ps John a blubbering mess, and Ps Anne redefining the word wow! 

Through it all though, it was one of the 'little things' that really stood out to me: and that was the set up crew.

They all had one thing in mind: making sure the venue was amazing for the bride. And with that, I was reminded me of how much God cares and fusses over us. He put so much effort into making sure the earth was perfect for HIs bride - and He still concerns Himself with His bride today. There isn't a waking moment that He doesn't fuss over us. Each day we wake up with an opportunity to find out about our God in a new way, and everyday God longs to have relationship with us.

I guess its amazing to me because non of it is deserved. What have I ever done to deserve all this favor? Just one thing: I said yes to His proposal. Yes to letting God take control. Yes to seeing His beauty. Yes to submitting to Him. I want to ask you today, what can you say yes to in your relationship with God? Is it to stay in His presence longer? Is it to serve more people? Is it simply to surrender all your cares to Him who cares for you?
